One Heart

Privacy

One Heart is made for couples, families and groups who read the Bible aloud together. Here is what happens to your information, in plain words.

What stays on your device

Your reading place, history, notes, highlights, bookmarks, reader names, colors and settings are saved in your browser on your own device. Reading on your own does not send them to us. The app keeps a copy of its own files on your device so you can read without internet.

No ads, analytics or trackers

One Heart shows no ads and has no analytics or tracking. Its fonts, Bible text and scripts come with the app instead of from other companies.

If you use a group code

A group code lets several devices use the same readers and colors. If you use one, our server keeps:

Your notes, history, saved place, highlights and bookmarks never go to the group server. The group code and each device’s key are stored only in a scrambled, one-way form. An admin approves every device that asks to join.

You can leave a group at any time, and your device is removed from it. When no one is left in a group, the group is deleted.

Voice notes

Typing notes is always possible. If you choose voice entry, your browser asks for microphone permission and may send the audio to its own speech service.

Our host

One Heart is served by Cloudflare, which may keep standard records of requests to its servers. To stop repeated requests, the group server uses a scrambled form of your connection’s address for a minute or two. We don’t sell or share your information.
